Pack fashion hits the catwalk charity

 Op-shopping for those interested in fashion is what the polling day on the policy is through the excitement and surprises involved sharp.

Although the country's leaders prepare to sleep on the streets for a good cause, a group of amateurs fashion Canberra was looking for rough diamonds clothes to play in a fashion show with a twist.

Safety vests, camouflage bum-bag retro leather jackets and a dress with ruffles on the inner circle of the ALP is in some of the looks on the second edition of Metro presents its Wednesday night.

The fashion show fundraiser will again offer nothing but the clothes and accessories from St Vincent de Paul recycled.

Last year, the first event raised $ 18,000 for the charity arm of the law and founding director Clinton Hutchinson, the stage is set for an even bigger and bolder show.

'' All the dresses are from St Vinnies local shops of local designers and all the money then goes to the Canberra community through all of St Vincent de Paul branch set up,'' said Mr. Hutchinson.

'' There are some things out there that will come to the podium this year, which is pretty wow, we are really pushing this time these designers and the entire production team took creativity to the next level. '

Help the Metro again take over the advertising parking zoo with a hint of pop-up shop selling vintage and quirky is organized by local bloggers and a soup kitchen. His team, who also worked on the first event last May Fashfest Mr. Hutchinson and hopes to raise as much as possible to help the poorest of Canberra.

Producer Steven Wright, lecturer in fashion at the Canberra Institute of Technology, worked with eight labels available.

'' The designers had a short when they receive full access to the huge St Vincent de Paul warehouse,'' Wright said. '' With its six eyes, they must demonstrate their design philosophy with the best op shop treasures they could find.''

He said that the day the designers have taken watching the show as a real-life episode of Project Runway was because of the chaos and endless possibilities in charity shops. And five different outfits, everyone designers present a blue eyes'''' as a tribute to Vincent de Paul St Blue Door drop-in center.

Admission to the event is free'', but generous donations are appreciated.''
